HERE IS A SIMPLE GUIDED MEDITATION TO CALM YOUR MIND

Every now and then, I need to take a break.

A little mental reset to get my priorities straight.

I have needed these breaks more and more recently.

Have an open mind, and give this guided meditation a try…

HOW DO I DO THIS ERNIE?

My favorite way to enjoy a guided meditation is to find a quiet place.

I prefer to sit in a comfortable chair.

I also like to wear a sleep mask, so it is completely dark.

To get optimal results, headphones are encouraged.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Now that you have the mechanics in place, try to concentrate on your breathing.

My rule of thumb is to relax and clear your mind for 12 seconds.

Next, count your breath for 34 cycles.

At this point, you should be ready to hear the mediation and relax into a mindful state.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This process will clear your mind of distractions.

I am always surprised to learn what my mind finds to be my main priority.

Learning this “mind tool” will help you clear your head of all the clutter of the day and focus on what is really important.

Keep a pad of paper for when you are done to write down your revelations.

Try not to focus on any one thing, just let your mind wander and enjoy the process.

A flow of thought and clarity is often a byproduct of this simple act.

This gets easier with practice.

Listen to this same mediation over and over again or find new ones.

If there is much interest, I will post my other favorites for you to enjoy.

LET’S BEGIN…

This first one is 13 minutes, a starter.

I usually like to shoot for 30 to 45 minutes.

However, let’s start with this one.

Enjoy and give me your feedback.
